MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., October 25, 2010 – Mobius Photonics, an innovative producer of short pulsed fiber laser sources (IR, green, and UV laser), and Tratech Fiberoptics, Inc., a manufacturer of high-power fiber optic cables, have entered into an exclusive licensing agreement that designates Tratech Fiberoptics as the worldwide manufacturer and distributor of “Meight” optical fiber connectors and associated components.

The “Meight” detachable optical fiber connector design was developed to meet the demanding power delivery needs of today’s laser manufacturers

• Developed by Mobius Photonics, a producer of short pulsed fiber-based laser sources
• Intended for multimode coupling of larger core fibers
• Properly terminated, capable of handling up to >100W interconnections
• Large metric thread (8.0x0.75) with hex nut for reliable mechanical connection
• Incorporates an o-ring feature set for sealed bulkhead connections. Fibers can be de-coupled without breaking the seal.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., July 6, 2010 - Mobius Photonics, an innovative producer of short pulsed fiber laser sources (IR, green, and UV laser), has developed the "Meight" connector - a detachable optical fiber connector designed for precision power applications such as pump light delivery and fiber coupling in commercial and industrial lasers. Meight connectors accommodate up to a few hundred watts of power via multimode fibers with core diameters from 50 microns to 1 mm.
